Clifton Chilli Club formed in 2009.
We have travelled the world and attended chilli events in Italy, USA, Germany, Belgium, Finland, Tenerife (Spain), Czech Republic, Netherlands and of course the UK.
We are a not-for-profit organisation and any revenue earned goes back in to the running of Clifton Chilli Club.
Our nominated charity is It's In The Bag - an organisation raising awareness for Testicular Cancer.
We've worked with TV personalities such as Paul Hollywood, James Wong, Evil Jared Hasselhoff (Bloodhound Gang) Dr Michael Mosley and Alan Titchmarsh. We've even given chilli growing advice to bands including Hayseed Dixie & Deer Tick!
Like many great things, Clifton Chilli Club was formed whilst enjoying a pint (cider!).
In 2009, four guys with an interest in chillies went to an open day at a specialist nursery in Dorset called Sea Spring Seeds. Astounded by the variety of chillies grown, the guys came back to Bristol and decided to form Clifton Chilli Club as a means of meeting like minded individuals and having fun.
Over the years, Clifton Chilli Club has grown from a few guys in a bar to an active community that travels the world! We've taken part in chilli events across the UK, USA, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Finland and Tenerife to name but a few. Our social media presence continues to grow and our YouTube channel has had well over 216,500,000+ views!
Clifton Chilli Club is also known for running chilli eating contests throughout the UK. We provide an excellent & complete service that allows organisers to relax and know that the organised mayhem is in good hands. We've performed to crowds of a few hundred to crowds in excess of 20,000 strong! Our service for this is so popular that we often have bookings 12-18 months in advance!
Many of Clifton Chilli Club are keen growers of chillies and often sell these plants throughout the earlier half of the year so that people can take them home and bring them on themselves. Of course, we keep some for our chilli eating competitions and personal consumption as we're all chilliheads.
Throughout the year, we produce a number of videos which we upload to our popular YouTube channel. Videos are chilli themed but can widely vary in their content such as cooking with chillies, product reviews, chilli eating contests, chilli stunts & more!
We also aim to attend or host events throughout the year & if you would like to meet us when we're not in our home town of Bristol, make sure you check out our events page to see where we will be & what we will be doing.
